What I Read: April 2020

Hey, everyone! April came and went, and I forgot to share what I’ve been reading.

To give a little bit of a backstory: Back in January of 2019, I gave myself to challenge of reading at least one book per month. I actually enjoyed that so much (and crushed my goal last year) that I decided to continue doing so. I

I’ve been sharing my picks each month.

Below is what we had on deck during April.

Intuitive Eating: A Revolutionary Program That Works

As you might notice, this book has nothing to do with finance and investing :).

Here’s a little “fun fact” about me: Before stocks, my first love was health and fitness. When I was a senior in High School, I mentioned to a close friend of mine that I wanted to be a nutritionist.

The interest in nutrition and fitness topics emerged because I was a “chubby” teen growing up. I would read everything I could get my hands on when it came to the topics of weight loss, exercise, and “healthy living.”

Somehow the idea of being a nutritionist changed as the years went by. However, my love for the topic of health and fitness remains strong.

The book pictured above is one I’ve been wanting to read for a very long time. I finally bought a copy earlier this year. To be honest, I was intimidated to start it because I was under the impression the book would be hard to read or that I wouldn’t get into it.

Boy was I wrong!

This book is super easy to read and explains the reasons why diets don’t work. There’s so much more I can say but I wouldn’t do this book justice! If you’re someone that’s always chasing the next crazy diet trend, you need to read this book.

Another book I read in April was this book:

You Can and You Will

By: Joel Osteen

As part of my morning routine, I’ve started my day reading motivational books and listening to uplifting podcasts. I plan to continue doing this. The ritual has allowed me to start and end my days with an amazing mindset. I highly recommend it.

And that’s all folks!

QUESTION: What have you been reading recently? Have you read any of these books? Share in the comments 🙂
