What I Read: December 2020

Hello, everyone! WOW! We’ve arrived at the final book recap of 2020. We made it to this point—cheers to that.

The book I read this month is one I’ve had in my library for at least three years.

I first heard about it through Myleik Teele (founder of the CurlBox) when she used to share books in her podcast (not sure if she still does it). I purchased the book via a used bookstore online and then didn’t touch it again (can you relate?). I think I picked it up a couple of times but couldn’t get into it until this month.

I am starting to believe that the Universe has designated times when it wants you to explore particular topics or specific experiences. It is as if certain things only “click” once it is their time.

Just a random reflection that came to mind as I wrote this.

My December read:

Maximize The Moment

Author: Pastor TD Jakes

Maximize

The book is great. It is filled with motivational wisdom and tons of awesome excerpts from the bible. After all, TD Jakes is a pastor. If you enjoy his sermons and his style of encouraging others, I believe you will also enjoy this book.

Here’s a page with some of my favorite messages (see sections with pencil):

And that’s all for now 🙂

FYI: I have a post coming up where I am sharing every single book I read this year. Stay tuned for that. You can subscribe to our blog via the subscribe box on your screen so that you’ll never miss a post!

Tell me: What have you been reading recently? Share below!

Cheers to health and profits,

Mabel
