What I Read: July 2020

I am back with another feature of what I’ve been reading lately.

WONDERING

For those who might not know: Back in January of 2019, I made a personal commitment to read at least one book per month.

It was only supposed to be for 1 year but I’m proud to share that my commitment continues. I am enjoying this “personal challenge.”

Here’s what I read in July:

In my June post, I mentioned how I recently discovered an author called Alexander Green. I read one of his books and got hooked. I am now on book #3 by the same author which I’ll probably finish in early August.

However, I completed the second one during the month of July.

The Gone Finish Portfolio

Author: Alexander Green

What I read JULY

This book explains how you can build an investment portfolio you can feel good about and then just let it be.

It discourages the idea of spending your days day trading or thinking about your investments.

Instead, you should be setting things up in a way that is smart and effective, and then you should go live your life.

As I mentioned in a recent tweet:

TWEET - INVESTING TIPS

The Gone Fishing Portfolio is an easy read and even includes real examples.

While I might not agree with all of Mr. Green’s recommendations when it comes to allocations and certain investments, a lot of the things he says make perfect sense. This book deserves 5 stars for sure.

I also finished this book which I mostly read during my morning routine:

The Law of Attraction

By: Michael J. Losier

Super easy read and contains a lot of the methodologies in books like “The Secret” and similar publication. I enjoyed this book. I Will re-read because I felt like I should have been taking notes.

As part of my morning routine, I’ve also been reading certain sections of the Holy Bible which is something I try to incorporate almost daily or as often as possible in routine.

And that’s all for now. Thanks for reading 🙂

Tell me: What have you been reading recently? Have you read any of these books? Share in the comments!
