Girl$ on The Money is a business that was born out of my passion for investing and teaching others to invest. I used to tell people that I “eat, live, sleep” investing and that’s not too far from the truth. As crazy as this might sound, there are very few topics that bring me as much excitement as the Stock Market and Wall Street.
In 2014, immediately after finishing my MBA, I made the decision to (finally) pursue my passion and that’s when this business was officially born.
I feel blessed that I get to wake up every morning and work in something that I absolutely LOVE.
However, I also want you to know that owning a business is not the “glamorous” life that some people pretend it is on social media.
It takes a WHOLE lot of work, discipline, focus, commitment, money, resources, time.
It means you keep going even if things don’t work out as planned. It means failing and learning. It means succeeding and getting excited about what’s ahead.
It is the official definition of a rollercoaster ride.
However, when you honestly believe you are doing work that the world needs and that is changing people’s lives for the better, everything becomes 100% worth it.

To anyone who starts a small business you have my respect and admiration. I tried and failed at a restaurant and even though I wouldn’t do it again (I need security-that’s my personality) I make a point of supporting people who do. Bless those brave sisters and brothers who believe in a dream and themselves.
Thank you, Theresa, those words mean a lot to me! Anyone that has ever owned a business knows this is not a “walk in the park”. You really have to love what you do in order to keep up with the rollercoaster ride that this journey brings.
