Hello, Loves!
You may or may not know that I am a bookworm and I am actually one of those people that continued reading books (for FUN) long after my college days were over.
What better way to kick off the year than by feeding my brain? One of my commitments for the year 2019 is to read one book per month. I will be sharing what book that is within the very first week of every month.
I am writing a blog post about this for two reasons:
#1. To keep me accountable.
#2. To share with everyone what I am reading and motivate some people to start reading as well :).
I honestly believe that some of the most valuable knowledge I’ve picked up in life didn’t necessarily come from getting a Bachelor of Science degree or an MBA. It came from reading amazing books.
Without further ‘ado, this month I am reading:
The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
I found out about this book somewhere on social media. I make it a point to only follow people that inspire me and this is the result – I not only get inspired but also get ideas for reading material and other tools that can help me be a better person all around.
Side note: This book was a “secret Santa” gift from my grandmother. Yes. I asked my secret Santa for a book. If that doesn’t tell you how much of a nerd I can be, I don’t know what can ;).
What are you reading this month? AND/OR Would you join me in this “one book a month” commitment for 2019?
Cheers to an amazing year.
With gratitude,
Mabel ❤$
